On completion of this course you will be able to:

  • Describe the location and history of salmon farms in New
    Zealand, the products produced and the market destinations.
  • Identify the salmon species that are farmed in New Zealand
    and worldwide, their life-cycles and associated challenges.
  • Inspect and use horticultural harvesting equipment to harvest
    by hand.
  • Perform proper handling and transportation of a horticultural
    crop to receiving containers.
  • Describe alcoholic fermentation processes used in commercial
    wine cellar operations.
  • Demonstrate preparation of fermentation tasks in a commercial
    wine cellar.
