The highlights of the programme for Matt are the practical activities in the workshop and the great tutors. “I enjoy being at NMIT. The facilities are really modern and you get to work on real cars, using the proper tools and equipment.”
Matt’s goal is to become a Diesel Mechanic. He intends to go back to school for Year 13 and then join the Navy and complete a diesel apprenticeship. He says that enrolling in the Trades Automotive programme has been a good way of finding out if this pathway is for him and he would definitely recommend it to other school students.
