I applied to the Beauty Trades Academy as I wanted to learn more about the Beauty industry and gain some skills for myself.
I have really enjoyed the nails part as I have gained new skills and can now do other people’s nails.
I am from a small school and there is no one else on my course. Initially it was hard to get to know new people, and this has taken me out of my comfort zone. The tutors have been helpful and supportive; they have good knowledge and are able to pass this onto us.
If students want to learn more about Beauty this is a great place to learn, and it has been surprising the range of options to learn in the industry. I am Year 13 and at this stage I am unsure what I am going to do beyond school. But this course has given me an idea this could be an option for me in the future.
