For Jenna, choosing the Trades Hospitality course was an easy decision. “I’ve always loved baking and cooking. My parents have a café and I wanted to learn more about what they do so I can help out more.” Jenna says that she is learning a lot of new skills and that makes her more confident overall.
One of the unexpected highlights of the programme has been meeting new people and making friends with students from other schools. “Everyone is really friendly and makes you feel welcome. I come from a small school so that is really nice. The tutors are also very kind and helpful and treat all the students with respect.” Jenna says that Trades is something she now looks forward to all week.
