Adam has always enjoyed designing and building things. He enrolled in the Trades Building course because he wants to become a carpenter when he leaves school.
The highlights of the programme so far have been learning how to do some of the “building basics” properly, which means that he’ll have the right skills for bigger building projects later. Adam’s also enjoyed meeting students from other schools. “Everyone in the class gets on really well, even though we’re all from different schools”.
He says the tutor has been really helpful and relaxed. “He’s not too strict and gives you plenty of time to catch up. We mostly do practical things which I enjoy, rather than too much theory”.
