This year, three new programmes have been offered through TOTSTA.
Level 3 – this programme follows on from the popular and successful Level 2
Adventure Leadership programme offered through Whenua Iti Outdoors. Students have the opportunity to develop their outdoor skills and independence through a range of activities designed to test students and develop crucial personal and social skills. This programme is run as a 3 x 1 week block course.
The programme is offered at two locations, in Picton and Nelson, and students work towards completing a 40 credit Level 2 New Zealand Certificate in Infrastructure Works. As part of this programme, students will spend part of Term 3 completing industry placements with Civil Infrastructure companies in Nelson and Marlborough.
The course builds on the Level 2 programme to help students further develop skills and ability to interact with manuhiri through Tourism Maori experiences.
